"Die Bult" is the student mecca of Potchefstroom. This is where student life pulses and the future of our country is shaped. Molenstraat (now Steve Biko Drive) is where you will find the "Akkerlaan" with centuries-old oak trees and the well-known "Die Akker," where many a student can testify that he or she has quenched his or her hunger and thirst at least once.

Die Bult not only boasts the NWU but also the School of Theology as well as a high and a primary school. The NWU Conservatory is opposite Potchefstroom Gimnasium on Thabo Mbeki Way.

Astro-hockey fields and the NWU's sports grounds, Virgin Active Gym, and many other world-renowned sports training facilities are within walking distance from the NWU.

Apart from student accommodation, there is a retirement resort on the banks of the Mooi River, Groen Wilgers. Relax on your senior days with a view you won't find anywhere else.
